The Glove

For a kid - it’s just a new glove. Daddy helped condition  the glove and Caleb could hardly wait to use it.

For me it was a reminder - God (our Daddy) always equips us to do His work. But before we are ready to be used, He conditions us.

Conditioning isn’t fun. It can often feel restrictive and the waiting can be tough. But it’s essential so we can be effective.

Although we have been used (and are being used now), this season is preparing us for the next phase.

It is fair to say we are definitely in a season of conditioning. We are learning to surrender, even more, to God’s process so we can be used effectively. We can’t get ahead of, or rush, the process.

Just as Caleb couldn’t wait to use his glove, we, also, can’t wait to see where this conditioning takes us.  And we are thankful for our Father who is there every step of the way.

Thank you for your continued prayers as we faithfully submit to His plan and diligently seek His next steps for us.

And be encouraged if you are in a season of conditioning. Allow God to prepare you so you are ready to effectively be used.

Psalm 33:20-22

“Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.”(ESV)
