🪨 Sermon Title: “What David Carried in a Pouch, Christ Placed in the Church”
1 Samuel 17:40
Ephesians 4:11-13
Introduction:
David’s small pouch carried something simple—but God made it powerful. Jesus did the same with the church—He left behind five divine gifts. Don’t overlook the pouch. What looks small can shift history.
Point 1:
Small Stones, Big Impact
chose five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his shepherd’s pouch.”
What seems insignificant in your hand becomes powerful when anointed.
Point 2:
God Has Loaded His Church
“He gave some to be...”
Jesus ascended and left us fully loaded—every tool we need to build, protect, and grow the Body is already in the Church.
Point 3: Equipped Until We Reach Fullness
until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God...”
The goal is not just individual victory, but a mature, unified Church. We grow through teaching, pastoring, prophecy, sending, and evangelism.
Application:Don’t despise your pouch—your calling, your church, your gift. God placed a weapon in you for this generation
